Microsoft FrontPage 2000 is a WYSIWYG web page editor that allows users to create engaging websites that look and work exactly the way they want them to. Microsoft FrontPage 2000 Extensions will allow you to publish your website using FrontPage and will allow you to use the special built in functions and components (web-bots) of FrontPage.
As an optional extra, Microsoft FrontPage 2000 Extensions can be installed on our Windows or Linux web hosting accounts. There is an additional charge for FrontPage extensions on Windows hosting accounts, but adding FrontPage extensions to Linux hosting accounts is currently free of charge. You should note that some FrontPage features, for example the databases, require you to use Windows hosting.
Microsoft FrontPage 2000 Extensions are backwardly compatible with previous versions of Microsoft FrontPage. In addition, most features of Microsoft FrontPage 2002 can be used on web hosting accounts with Microsoft FrontPage 2000 Extensions installed, although we cannot guarantee that any particular feature will work.
If you create sites in FrontPage without using the web-bots and use FTP to transfer your files, you should not need FrontPage extensions.
